Advent in Wigtown

Thank you to everyone who came to the shop yesterday afternoon to enjoy the fizz and the readings. Thank you to all who contributed – poetry, Dickens, Douglas Adams, a Welsh tradition (complete with a little Welsh rhyme from Val), Joyce from The Old Bank Bookshop sounding less like Joyce and more like a French chatelaine and Fred from the Netherlands reading R L Stevenson. That’s Wigtown for you – a place of variety and inclusion and always full of interest.

Thanks also to Kathleen and Jayne who came up with the idea of Advent in Wigtown. I have no doubt that Wigtown will rally round for next year’s calendar – great ideas are already being discussed. We would love to hear from anyone who would like to participate, in any way.

Season’s greeting to you all.
